Project Independent Forms Distribution Partnership With THC : MUSIC/ROCKET SCIENCE

Project Independent, North America’s premiere Independent Hard Rock/Metal showcase has teamed up with Los Angeles based THC : MUSIC for a strategic distribution partnership, providing a retail and digital pipeline for releases from P.I. featured artists, as well as additional marketing and artist services.
The Los Angeles based record label will see 2012 releases from Aghori (2011 Project Independent Featured Artist) as well as Oedipus, Slaves on Dope, Primer 55, Dirge Within, Knockout Kid, and more.
“Every year, hundreds of the best independent Hard Rock and Metal artists in the country take part in the Project Independent tour and showcase, and we are honored to get involved and help to take it to the next level,” Says THC founder Thom Hazaert. “Me and Jeff (Totten, Project Independent founder) have been friends for years, and always discussed ways for me to get involved, and now I think we found a way that we can work together to provide some amazing opportunities and exposure for the top tier artists in the P.I. program.”
Releases will be distributed in North America though THC: MUSIC/Rocket Science/Sony/RED.
THC was founded in 2011 by Thom Hazaert, former President of Corporate Punishment Records, a 15 year industry veteran, who as an Artist Manager/A&R Rep helped launch the careers of Chimaira, Switched, Depswa, Bleed the Sky, Adema, and more. Also a seasoned industry marketing vet, and co-founder of Total Assault Marketing, being involved with a myriad of hugely successful 2000’s major label releases from artists including Limp Bizkit, Korn, Snot, (Hed)pe, Nine Inch Nails, Static-X, Cold, Guns N’ Roses, Pitchshifter, Staind, and more.
